About the role
We are looking for an outstanding and experienced Class Teacher to join our team at Rushen Primary School where you will teach all areas of the Primary School curriculum, ensuring all pupils achieve highly and make good progress. We aim to develop pupils learning to learn skills, as well as focusing on positive relationships and personal/social development, preparing them for the future.
We work closely with the local community and have adopted Port Erin beach where we have a long-standing partnership with the Isle of Man Beach Buddies, which supports our focus on the Isle of Mans United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation Biosphere status.

Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, you will be offered two pensions arrangements, the Teachers Superannuation scheme or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) arrangement.
If you are returning to the island and have participated in the Departments Student Loan scheme for tuition fees, the loan will be repaid by the Department upon completion of your second year working as a teacher at one of the islands schools (subject to a maximum of £7,500 for a three year degree course, or £10,000 for a four year degree course).
For those relocating or returning to the island you will receive a refund on your national insurance contributions during the first 12 months of your employment, up to £4,400.

An enhanced with barring police check is required for this post, which the Isle of Man Government will cover the cost of for you.
