We are looking for an experienced class teacher with a passion for SEN to join our team at Tipton Junior School. The successful candidate will also have the responsibility of Deputy SENDCO, supporting working closely with the SENDCO. You should be a committed teacher who has high expectations and believes that all children can and deserve to succeed.
The role will involve working alongside all staff and under the direction of the SENDCO to ensure that all SEND pupils are fully supported and have opportunity through specific support to flourish.
As a Classroom Teacher, you will be based in upper key stage 2.
As a SENDCo in our Trust you will:
- Be an excellent, fully qualified teacher with an understanding of how to achieve high standards
- Have achieved the National Award for SEN Coordination or a willingness to undertake it
- Have experience of working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs
- Be caring, compassionate and understanding of the needs of our children and families
- Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Be committed to inclusive practice and believe that every child will succeed
- Work effectively as part of the teams within school and across our Trust
- Be driven to have high expectations of yourself and others
