Your role
You will work as part of a small team, working part time, cleaning the Aseptic manufacturing rooms outside of routine production hours. One member of the team will be a working supervisor, responsible for the line management of the team. In each room the surfaces and the floor are wiped daily with a disinfectant solution or alternatively once a week with a detergent solution. The cleaning logs are then signed, disinfectant solutions disposed of, and equipment cleaned.
Aseptic Cleaner duties & responsibilities
- Perform sanitisation/cleaning duties in the cleanroom as per written procedures, while aseptically gowned.
- Follow aseptic cleanroom behaviours at all times within the facility.
- Accurately record and complete documentation as required.
- Dispose of waste solutions and disinfect cleaning equipment.
- Maintain validated status for required activities and keep up to date with required training.
- Report any deviation from procedure.
- Report any damage to equipment or facilities.
- Liaise with production staff, responsible for daily status handover.
Aseptic Cleaning Supervisor duties & responsibilities
In addition to the Aseptic Cleaner duties, the Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Line management of team members, including absence management, performance reviews, team development.
- Setting/maintaining standards for the teams activities.
- Liaising with production staff, accountable for daily status handover.
The skills & attributes you will bring
- Capable of learning accurate cleanroom behaviour and aseptic technique concepts. Previous experience of cleaning aseptic facilities desirable but not essential.
- Capable of following standard operating procedures, SOPs.
- Proficient in accurately recording and completing documentation.
- Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines or as a team member.
- High standards and detail oriented.
- Aseptic gowning, cleanroom, and/or cGMP experience preferred or the ability to learn aseptic gowning technique and pass validation process.

Working hours
Aseptic Cleaner: 19:30 - 22:30 hrs, Monday - Friday (plus one Sunday every 3 months)
Aseptic Cleaning Supervisor: 19:00 - 23:00 hrs, Monday - Friday (plus one Sunday every 3 months)
Training
Initial training period of up to 3 weeks will be required to be completed on days (08:30 - 17:00).
Ongoing training to maintain competence and validation maybe required to be on days (08:30 - 17:00).

- Salary: starting from £12.72 per hour (this will be enhanced for the Supervisor role)
- Annual leave of 25 days + bank holidays pro rata (increasing to 27 days pro rata after 3 years service)
