About The Role
Introduction and overall purpose :
Introduction and overall purpose of the role. The Cleaning Supervisor will support the delivery of site cleaning to the agreed specifications and standards within health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures. The main aim of the role will be to supervise a team of cleaning staff, undertake daily inspections of the centre and ensuring staff are working productively, safely and efficiently.
You will be working on a permanent full-time basis, 06:00 to 20:00, 40 hours per week.
The working days will be discussed during interview.
Main Duties & Responsibilities :
- To lead and supervise the Housekeeping, Food Court, and Recycling teams on a daily basis.
- To ensure that the continuous improvement process is an integral part of service delivery.
- To provide your Line Manager with a formal report capturing operational, financial and staffing issues on a monthly basis.
- Completion of all required monthly reporting systems to include inspection reports, incident reports and staff performance.
- Take ownership of the staff rota and ensure all shifts are allocated. When not possible to cover all shifts, liaise as required with cleaning agency company.
- To support with any OCS sub-contractor works that need to be arranged and ensure the works take place compliantly, safely and to the correct specifications.
- Always consider the work undertaken and wherever opportunities for improvements and working practices exist, put forward suggestions so that "continuous improvement" is the norm.
- To maintain excellent relationships with our client, suppliers and customers; maintaining excellent customer service
- Ensure that all COSHH RA's and safety data sheets are compliant and up to date.
- Ensure that personal H&S competence and skill level is maintained i.e. attended Managing Safety programme and other Company safety events.
- Ensure the team training matrix is up to date and that all staff have the required training for their duties.
Professional Qualifications :
- IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
Experience :
- Cleaning experience 5 years (essential)
- Supervisory experience 2 years (essential)
