Client Bookkeeper - Full Or Part-Time

Our client is a local Firm of Accountants looking to appoint a Client Bookkeeper to undertake a wide range of bookkeeping duties for different client companies. Your duties will be varied and could typically include looking after sales and purchase ledgers for clients, bank reconciliations, and month end reconciliations. The preparation and submission of timely VAT returns on behalf of client companies, assisting clients with any queries they may have concerning their accounts and possibly undertaking some payroll work, although training can be offered in the area of payroll if candidates don't have previous payroll experience and wish to learn this skill.

The role can be offered on a Full or a part-time basis to suit, and the Firm can accommodate school hours. Whilst previous experience of working in a Firm of Accountants or a Bookkeeping Bureau will be an advantage, this is by no means necessary, and we would encourage applications from all strong double-entry bookkeepers. Any previous experience of working on Quickbooks software will also be an advantage, but again is not absolutely necessary.
