The Role
The Client Onboarding Specialist will assist with new account openings working closely with the firm’s client facing teams ; Relationship Managers and Assistant Relationship Managers. The Client Onboarding Specialist will also have the opportunity to liaise directly with clients to provide a first class customer onboarding experience.
The Client Onboarding Specialist will ensure relevant account opening documentation and client KYC & AML due diligence meets UK and local booking centre requirements in readiness for review submission.
The Client Onboarding Specialist will be the primary point of contact for client-facing teams (RM’s and their teams) fielding KYC related questions or and queries on account openings of client relationships.
The Client Onboarding Specialist will work closely with the Assistant Relationship Manager teams to ensure the creation and completion of Client Onboarding documentation files , ensuring the quality and plausibility of documented Financial Crime and Suitability related information
The Client Onboarding Specialist will ensure corroboration documents are provided and will assess negative news hits addressing potential reputational risk.
The Client Onboarding Specialist will evaluate complex structures (Trust, Foundation and Domiciliary company accounts) ensuring all account opening is done in adherence with legal and CDB regulations
The Client Onboarding Specialist will undertake additional clarifications with client facing teams and Compliance and assist in the escalation of identified elevated AML risks, potential suspicion of money laundering, or unsuitable advice.
The Candidate
1-5 years experience Client Onboarding experience within a Wealth Management firm or a Private Bank - essential
Solid understanding of Financial Crime and Suitability related topics
Level 4 Wealth Management or Compliance & Compliance Risk qualification (or equivalent) – advantageous
Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
