An award-winning Entertainment Group is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their Client Payments Team.
With interests in TV Production, Artist Management, and TV/Media Distribution/Sales this thriving indie is a leader in their field and continues to grow from strength to strength.
The Client Finance Team plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of the business as provides support to most business divisions ensuring the efficient and timely payment to talent.
This interesting position is a real blend of AP, AR & payroll administration but with a difference. You will be helping to ensure some of the UK's top talent are paid for their involvement in TV, Film, and Theatre/Live amongst other things.
This role will suit an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ideally with at least 6-12 months experience who is looking to work in an interesting role within a great business. Due to the size of the business, there is likely to be future career growth/opportunities.
A study package is available.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Prepare and process client payment runs
- Preparing client statements for approval by management for payment
- Raise and code sales orders and invoices
- Deal with internal stakeholders, including Talent Managers, to resolve any client payment queries
- Review and chase any aged debtors
- Prepare daily BACs income reports, including uploading of sales receipts onto the system.
- Ad hoc financial analysis
- Assist with the continual improvement of the day to day processes
- Involvement with projects relating to the Client Payments team; currently the implementation of a new system
Ideal candidate:
- Previous experience within finance, ideally gained within a Media, TV or creative environment; (previous Client Payments experience would be beneficial)
- Confident communication skills, both written & verbal
- Great team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Self motivated, able to take ownership of workload with a can-do attitude
- Excellent attention to detail, deadline oriented and able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- A keen interest in the Media/Entertainment industry
