About the role The main duties of the post holder will be developing, planning, coordinating, and supporting the delivery of the undergraduate assessments across the MBBS programme. The post holder will contribute to the design and development of all aspects of the assessment process in all years of the degree programme. The post holder will work with year leads/deputies to ensure that all assessments are consistent with the UCLMS assessment strategy and have been quality assured. The post holder will help to facilitate item writing workshops and the development of our online question bank. The post holder will also work closely with the curriculum mapping team to assure that each assessment is appropriately mapped to the curriculum. The post holder will also contribute to the continuing development of remote assessments and the development and introduction of a new ePortfolio. Additionally, the post holder will be involved in delivering outputs from our existing assessment research projects and expanding and populating the Assessment Moodle course site. As a Clinical Lecturer (Teaching), the post holder will also contribute to the academic life of the department by contributing to the activities of the other three units of UCLMS, including the department’s research strategy, the department’s public engagement, education consultancy (CIMEC), outreach programmes and postgraduate teaching. The post holder will be expected to be committed to continuing professional education and to undertake other specific training courses as necessary within and outside the College. Appointment details: The post is graded on the Non-Consultant Clinical Academic Pay Scale, CL8, the annual salary for which ranges from £48,637 to £55,336 per annum. The appointment is available asap and is permanent. Multiple positions available (we have 2.5 FTE on offer in total however, we are only able to offer a minimum of 0.6FTE on a part-time basis). About you The post holder will have a primary medical qualification and full GMC registration with proven ability and commitment to teach in a clinical and non-clinical setting. The role holder will have an understanding of pedagogy and scholarship as it relates to Medical Education and assessment.
