Your Responsibilities:
You will be joining our Litigation team and you will be reporting directly to the head of the department. Managing a caseload and working on files as appropriate, including drafting letters, collating evidence, preparing costs letters and liaising with clients and experts. The role involves but is not limited to:
• Preparing advice to clients on all issues including breach of duty, causation and quantum
• Understanding complex negligence claims and legal requirements
• Arranging and attending client meetings
• Drafting liability and quantum witness statements
• Drafting various court documents
• Drafting instructions to experts and Counsel
• Drafting and preparing Schedules of Loss and Damage
• Collating medical and financial information with accurate attention to detail
You will also have an opportunity to become involved with the firm’s marketing by creating and maintaining client relationships and by attending various networking events.
About you
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a solid foundation in Clinical Negligence work and will have the following attributes:
• prior experience working on litigated Clinical Negligence work
• enjoy working methodically and accurately to deadlines
• strong and efficient admin and IT skills
• excellent client care and communication skills
• the ability to maintain excellent client relationships and work with the department to enhance the teams current offering
