The main duties of the Clinical Services Manager - Nursing role include:
- Strategically plan Clinical Services and oversee the day-to-day organization and management of clinical departments.
- Provide clear leadership and guidance to all clinical staff, aligning with the hospital's initiatives.
- Take charge of leading the department, following the guidance of the Director of Clinical Services.
- Oversee the deployment, supervision, and education of staff within the clinical area, supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership.
- Responsible for nurturing the development, motivation, and performance of all clinical staff, ensuring compliance with CQC Standards essential for nursing services in an acute care hospital handling planned and emergency admissions.
- Manage the department's professional and cost-effective service, including financial oversight and business planning.
- Undertake clinical duties as needed, with a minimum requirement of one clinical shift per week.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Demonstration of pertinent professional development, encompassing clinical and managerial aspects, ideally supported by RN certification and valid NMC Registration.
- Registered Nurse Level 1 holding a Diploma or BSc in Nursing Studies.
- Strong comprehension of Clinical Governance requirements specific to the area.
- Contemporary expertise in the practice field.
- Familiarity with the NMC Code of Accountability.
- Preferably, possessing experience in surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in recruitment and selection processes.
