Clinical Services Manager - Theatre
The Bath Clinic           
37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Circa £60,000 plus benefits (depending on level of experience, training and qualifications)

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Services Manager to join their team of staff in the Theatre Department.

This role will lead and develop our Theatre Team across 4 Operating Theatres and an Endoscopy Suite. Working closely with the Senior Management Team and other Heads of Department to grow our Theatre services and implement hospital strategy, whilst delivering excellent patient care.

There will be many opportunities for professional growth and personal development, all fully funded and supported by Circle Health Group. Bath Clinic has an on-site Practice Based Educator to support with continuous development and training needs as well as, a nationwide network of Educators and Learning & Development Practitioners.

This is a Full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern between Monday and Saturday.

Bath Clinic has undergone an exciting transformation with brand-new theatre facilities installed in 2023 and upgraded patient-facing areas. It is an excellent time to join our hospital and be at the forefront of its exciting new chapter in delivering first class care to the local community.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically and managerially.
  • Experienced in acute nursing care
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability

Duties of this role include:

  • To strategically plan the delivery of patient safe clinical care provision of the Theatre service, in line with business needs and responsible for day to day organisation and management of  care provision within the Operating Department while coordinating the management of the theatre team, both clinical and non clinical.  Providing clear direction and leadership to all theatre staff, whilst supporting the initiatives of the hospital.  The role is responsible for development, motivation and performance of the Theatre Team, ensuring the achievement of CQC Standards.
  • Maintenance of professional, cost-effective theatre service including financial management and business planning.
  • Achievement of labour management target, and weekly completion of staff utilisation spreadsheets.
