The main duties of the Clinical Services Manager Wards role include:
- Develop strategic plans for Clinical Services and oversee the daily organization and management of clinical departments.
- Provide clear guidance and leadership to all clinical staff, aligning with the hospital's initiatives.
- Take charge of leading the department under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Services.
- Oversee the deployment, supervision, and education of staff within the clinical area, contributing to clinical leadership as part of the hospital management team.
- Drive the development, motivation, and performance of all clinical staff, ensuring adherence to CQC Standards essential for nursing services in an acute care hospital that admits both planned and emergency surgical and medical cases.
- Manage the professional and cost-efficient delivery of departmental services, including financial oversight and strategic business planning.
- Maintain a clinical workload as required, committing to a minimum of one clinical shift per week.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
- Demonstrated track record of pertinent professional growth, encompassing clinical and managerial spheres, ideally supported by RN certification with valid NMC Registration.
- Hold qualifications such as Registered Nurse Level 1, Diploma, or BSc in Nursing Studies.
- Comprehensive grasp of Clinical Governance prerequisites pertaining to the field.
- Current and thorough knowledge within the practice area.
- Familiarity with the NMC Code of Accountability.
- Proficiency in recruitment and selection processes.
