KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Radiographer, to lead the imaging and diagnostics team based at the Sevenoaks Medical Centre.
Our Sevenoaks Medical Centre team consists of Nurses, Care Support Workers, Radiographers, Physical Therapists and administrators to provide outpatient and diagnostic services to the local community across to a full range of clinical specialties, including orthopedics, dermatology, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology and more.
As a Clinical Specialist Radiographer, you will form part of the Sevenoaks Medical Centre Management team. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the imaging departments strategy and be the clinical expert in MRI to support staff and patients at Sevenoaks Medical Centre and KIMS Hospital.
You will be a strong and empathetic radiographer with significant post qualification experience in a wide range of MRI procedures and significant in experience in leading both a service and a team.
This role is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. The centre is open between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm Monday to Friday.
Role Responsibilities include:
- To carry out high quality diagnostic imaging examinations in a way which meets patients’ needs within the Imaging Departments of the organisation
- To ensure that the service and staff develop and maintain the highest possible standards of clinical care.
- To utilise specialist knowledge and clinical expertise, providing advice across sites when required.
- To work with the Imaging Manager in making service improvements, to ensure standardisation and integration of policies, protocols and procedures across organisational locations.
- To provide operational support to the General Manager at SMC, which will include acting as a deputy in their absence.
Person Specification:
Candidates for the Clinical Specialist Radiographer must:
- Have a Diploma from the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) Radiography with a valid HCPC registration
- Post graduate qualification in MRI/Medical imaging
- Demonstrable experience leading a team
- Knowledge of clinical and corporate governance and its application
- Evidence of continuous professional development and its application
