Form of workAston Martin is investing in infrastructure and as we transition to the cloud, we are now on the lookout for a Cloud Solution Expert to join us at our Gaydon HQ where you'll be truly making a difference.
Working alongside a team of talented individuals, you'll be in charge of all Azure requirements day-to-day. This will involve "hands-on" experience in building, configuring, and optimizing Azure-based Cloud Services on a large scale. This will include workloads that make use of Azure Virtual machines, Azure SQL databases, Blob Storage, and AKS. Alongside this, you'll need to have a solid understanding of Azure services within the Enterprise Tenant and experience with on-prem enterprise Windows Server environments. Experience in AWS delivery would be a bonus.
In this role, you'll play a key role in collaborating closely with the Platform Engineering Lead and his team, taking responsibility for the cloud platform. You will establish a regular maintenance schedule to ensure the platform remains stable and bring your innovative ideas to the table for continuous improvement. You will be crucial for the future migration of our cloud environment within Aston Martin Lagonda.
As a people's person, you'll relish in building, networking, and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders while also possessing the technical expertise. You will be pivotal in managing the relationship with our cloud supplier, Microsoft. This role will give you the chance to leave your mark and truly make a difference. You will have the opportunity to make an impact and gain visibility with the senior leadership team.
We are seeking a confident, driven individual with exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade when necessary. You must have excellent time management and organisational skills as you will be working at a fast pace with ever-changing priorities and deadlines. You will also need to be proficient in Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, Docker, and Microsoft365.
Ideally, you will have a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or extensive experience gained within a similar fast-paced organisation within the industry. You should hold 2 or more Microsoft Azure certifications at an intermediate level within Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert.
You will be part of a small team of 5, reporting directly to the Head of IT Operations and working closely with the Head of IT Operations.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office. The working hours are 7.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs and 7.30am – 12.30pm on Friday, with flexibility based on any technical issues that may arise during the week. There may be occasional weekend and evening work required depending on business/project needs, with rare travel to other sites.
