Job Opportunity: CNC Laser & Brake Press Operator
Location: Nottingham, UK
Duration: Temp to Perm (will definitely be going permanent after 13 weeks)
Salary: 27,000 - 30,000 per annum (can be flexible depending on experience)
Shifts: Days, Monday to Thursday (7:30 am - 4:30 pm), Friday (7:30 am - 11 am)
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Laser & Brake Press Operator to join our dynamic team at Nottingham. As a CNC Laser & Brake Press Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of CNC controllers and contributing to the quality and precision of our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Utilize and operate CNC Laser & Brake Press machinery, including FANUC, Heidenhain, and Siemens controllers.
Set and load programs for industrial Laser & Brake Press equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC Laser and Brake Press machines.
Execute proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories.
Set tolerance levels and cutting speeds to meet quality standards.
Translate detailed part drawings into measurements for production.
Inspect workflows to ensure technical and quality standards are met.
Devise work plans for efficient daily machining.
Load and unload CNC Code.
Skills Required:
Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized operating area.
Understanding of software programming via CAD and CAM programs and direct Laser & Brake Press Interface.
Direct programming experience with CNC Laser & Brake Press machines.
Application of ISO quality standards.
Qualifications:
CNC / Engineering apprenticeship would be an advantage, but minimum skills are a must.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience required.
On-the-job training will be provided.
