We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts and components according to specifications. This is a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our production.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, milling, and shaping various materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup, tooling, and sequence of operations
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues or malfunctions
- Adjust machine settings as necessary to achieve desired results
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine machine maintenance
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CNC Operator or similar role
- Proficiency in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work
- Knowledge of materials handling and proper use of hand tools
- Familiarity with tooling and understanding of cutting speeds and feeds
- Basic understanding of logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance
