CNC Setter Operator - Double Days

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter Operator - Turning to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering breakthrough engineering for a better world. This role is crucial in producing high-quality components within specified tolerances and requires a logical approach to achieve production efficiency and targets.
Day to Day of the role:
Set up CNC machines according to provided setup sheets, making necessary amendments and providing feedback to Production Engineering.
Prove manufacturing methods and assist in optimising for production efficiency.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to select correct tooling and holding devices.
Perform best practice setups with operators and liaise with Production Engineers for specialised tooling.
Manufacture components to correct drawing specifications and carry out first-off inspections.
Complete feedback tickets of set and run times, as well as OEE data sheets.
Maintain production targets and ensure adherence to quality documentation.
Uphold Lean principles and ensure high-quality maintenance of tooling and gauging.
Communicate any issues and manufacturing improvements identified.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience in setting and running CNC turning or mill/turn machines.
Apprenticeship trained in a relevant field.
Knowledge or familiarity with Fanuc programming.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.
PC literate.
Desirable Skills:
Advanced Fanuc programming experience.
