Job Description:
Senior machinist/setter/manager to deliver production and development parts and manage the workshop & workflow.
Role Requirements:
Setting up and running manual and CNC machines.
Tool setting and path generation directly on machine (G & conversational) & offline (HSMWorks)
Ability to work with a variety of materials predominantly, stainless steel, non-ferrous & polymers
Fluency with technical drawings, specifications and standards.
Delivery of high tolerances and surface finishes
Routine machine lubrication and cleaning
Tooling specification & order prep
Jigging, tooling & work holding implementation
Familiarity with hand tools & processes
QC, inspection & documentation
Manage workflow in conjunction with production & development team requirements
Manage workshop operative/machine operator (currently 1 person)
Manage & develop the workshop environment
37.5 hrs/week. Flexitime between 06:00 & 17:00 over 5 days/week
20 days holiday + 3 days closure (Christmas period) + Bank Holidays (8/9) 31 days
Salary dependent on experience within regional range
New appointments undergo an initial 3 & 6 month probation period and review, followed by a further review at 12 months, and then annually.
