Role: CNC Machinist / Operator
Location: Worminghall, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 DOE
Contract: Full time, Monday - Thursday 7:30-5:30, Friday - 7:30-2

Main Duties of CNC Machinist:
- Manufacturing precision components for Injection and Blow mould tool production
- Liaise continually with our Toolroom manager to ensure the continual optimisation of our CNC machining centres is achieved
- Working to defined production schedules you will apply a flexible approach to your CAM programming e.g. on-control as well as off-line techniques should be applied as the job dictates
- Contribute to existing process improvements, whilst proposing the creation of new processes
- Contribute to the design and manufacture of bespoke jigs and fixtures to support a particular project
- Guide and mentor apprentices and junior members of staff in order for them to learn key skills such as assembly techniques of mould tooling
- Demonstrate firsthand the importance of high standards and encourage others to shine
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
Main Requirements of CNC Machinist:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
- Proficient in operating CNC machines and using hand tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
- The ability to understand engineering drawings and CAD data
- Have previous experience with Hurco control systems & on-control programming
- Proficient with CAD/CAM programming software
- Ideally Powershape, Powermill or VISI
- Multi tasker - You must be able to demonstrate the ability to operate more than one machine at a time
- Manual milling and turning
- The ideal candidate would have ideally served an appropriate engineering apprenticeship with a recognised engineering qualification gained
- Must have a good understanding of current Health and Safety legislation and practices
