Title: CNC programme operator / CNC Miller

Location: Coventry CV3

Salary: up to £18/hour

I am looking for a skilled and experienced CNC programme operator / CNC miller to join my client's team within the automotive industry. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of CNC milling and turning machines, as well as producing high-quality components to meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Select and load the appropriate tools and programs for each job
• Set up and align the workpiece and the machine according to the instructions
• Operate the CNC machine to perform the required operations, such as cutting, drilling, shaping, and finishing
• Monitor the machine performance and adjust the settings as needed
• Inspect the finished product for quality and accuracy using measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors that may occur
• Follow the health and safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and the machines
• 4th and 5th axis machining and live tooling

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC miller or a similar role
• Proficient in using CNC milling and turning machines, such as Doosan, Bridgeport, Mazak, and Kia
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
• Able to use measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometres, and gauges
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and quality
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
