SalaryReputable sub-contract machining company are looking for 2 x CNC Programmers to join their long-established team in Redditch. Offered as a Temporary to Permanent contract, with competitive pay rate based on experience and immediate start available. Role one as CNC Programmer will be on Sliding Head machines, the other on Milling machines. The ideal candidate will hold experience in either of these and previous Milling/ Drilling/ Turning skills.
Previous CNC experience is essential to fulfil the position of CNC Programmer. Within this role you will be offered overtime, free car parking and company pension.
Duties and responsibilities of CNC Programmer
- Ability to select the best tooling package for a new job
- Take charge of section maintenance scheduling
- General servicing duties
- Program Fanuc/ Tornos controlled machines
- Continuously monitor areas of improvement in cycle time, tooling cost, material usage
- Using measuring gauges
- To produce components within the agreed standard time
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Multi Axis machining
- Working to tight tolerances and in process measurements
- High precision tolerance works as well as volume
- Quality control, working to customer specification
Skills/attributes required by successful candidate for the role of CNC Programmer
- Previous experience of CNC programming
- Tornos Deco (Tornos control), Tornos Delta Fanuc control, Hanwha machine (20, 26 & 38), Star Fanuc control
- Have Turning experience on Fanuc-controlled machines
- Attention to detail
- Be an effective communicator
- Team player, with pride in one’s work and a desire for success
- Be adaptable and willing to go the extra mile to meet tight deadlines
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of Work: Day shifts, Monday - Friday
Salary: £16 - £19 per hour (dependent upon experience)
