Temp to Perm Opportunity
Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30
Friday 08:00 till 12:00
Pay rate: £17.00 to £20.00 per hour depending on experience.
Are you an experienced CNC Programmer with experience cutting and grinding seeking a long-term opportunity with career progression in central Birmingham? We are looking to employ a full-time CNC Programmer who already has a good grounding in Engineering.
The ideal candidate will have experience setting and operating CNC tool cutting and grinding machines. The company is a well-established, leading manufacturer of precision cutting tools. Experience or knowledge of machinery such as Deckel S11, Wickman OPG, Jones & Shipman 310 or Cincinnati, Jones & shipman 1300 or 1074, CNC Studer S31/S33, CNC tool & cutter grinding machines would be very advantageous.
Requirements for the CNC Operator/ Programmer role include:
" Manufacture and regrind cutting tools
" Monitor product quality throughout the process
" To dress and maintain grinding wheels and make machine adjustments and troubleshoot set-up issues
" To maintain product specifications and quality by inspection using the correct measuring equipment/devices
" Understanding, knowledge, and experience working with raw materials
Daily Responsibilities of a CNC Operator/ programmer:
" Previous machining experience and knowledge of cutting tools is desirable
" Have good diligence and ability to maintain a high standard of work
" Understand and interpret requirements accurately
" An industrious individual with the ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team
" Willingness to learn new skills and advance their potential to become an important member of the manufacturing team
