CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator

CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator required for our client based in Dudley.
Our client is a well-established engineering company based in Dudley, West Midlands, specialising in the supply and manufacture of high-quality stainless steel and carbon components.
With a strong presence in the UK and Continental Europe, they pride themselves on delivering top-notch products to major stockists and distributors.
Candidate:
The successful candidate would be expected to have knowledge of working in an JIT Engineering Environment and have experience in Offline Programming machinery and control systems of Mainly Fanuc but Siemens would be a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will also be expected to be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a small production team, own transport would be an advantage but not essential.
Responsibilities:
Programming and Setup:

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Siemens and Fanuc controls.
• Set up CNC machines, ensuring correct tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed.
• Utilize offline programming software to develop and simulate CNC programs.
• Optimize tool paths, reduce cycle times, and improve efficiency.

Operation:

• Operate CNC mills or lathes to produce precision components.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments during production runs.
• Maintain quality standards and meet tight tolerances.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret specifications.
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator.
• Familiarity with both Siemens and Fanuc controls.
• Offline programming expertise.

Education:

• GCSEs or equivalent (additional technical certifications preferred).

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 p/a DOE
Opportunities for overtime.
Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
