CNC Turner - Programmer, Setter, Operator

Contek are working with a client who is looking for a CNC Turner to join their growing business. You will be joining their modern and busy machine shop where you will be assisting in production of low volume and complex work.
This company have been in business now for over 20 years and specialise in sectors such as Aerospace, Nuclear & Energy, Mining and Oil & gas to name a few. They offer Milling, Turning and Boring services and work primarily with larger components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Writing CNC programs on Lathes using Fanuc
• Set up and operate CNC turning machines for the production of large components.
• Working to technical drawings
• Conduct tool changes, offsets, and routine machine maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner Programmer ideally in heavy industry machining but others will be considered.
• Proficiency in Fanuc controls and programming
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and tooling for heavy industry applications.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

The hours for this role are as follows:
Monday to Wednesday
06:00 - 16:30
Thursday
06:00 - 15:30
