CNC Turner - Night Shift

Salary: to £46,655 pa with Overtime at Time and a Half (Includes Night Shift Premium)

Hours: 39 Hours per Week

Work Schedule: Night Shift - Monday to Thursday: 9:45 pm - 8:00 am

Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Turner (Programmer / Setter / Operator ) ideally with expertise in Mazak CNC Lathes with Mazatrol controls.

This permanent position involves a 39-hour work-week and is based in Hatfield working a 4 night, night shift.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our clients machines, ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to specifications.

General:

• Create Programs and Set / Operate Mazak CNC Lathes (including bar feeds).
• Produce first-off components for inspection.
• Ensure components are produced to the highest standards as per specifications and drawings.
• Inspect components during production to ensure drawing / spec requirements are maintained.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing activities where required.

Skills / Experience:

• Experience with programming setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes.
• Be conversant with Mazak (Mazatrol) controls.
• Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Be able to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques.
• Proficient in understanding the Aerospace AS9100D requirements relevant to the responsibilities of a CNC Turner.
• Able to work as part of a team and assist others where required.
