COCKTAIL BARTENDER

£22,000-£23,000 Per Annum

Are you polite and articulate, with confidence and a passion for amazing customer service?

Can you create a Cocktail, recommend an Ale, or suggest a Sauvignon from our extensive Wine list?

If the answer is yes, we want to hear from you!

We’re searching for the right Barperson. You will possess excellent communication skills, and understand how to prioritise taking drinks orders within the Bar, or the Restaurant.

Your pace will be unmatched, your can-do attitude will have your team members in awe, and you’ll bring your existing Bar experience to your new role, at Thainstone House.

You will make our Bar - your own, by collecting empty glasses, wiping down tables and encouraging guests to enjoy our facilities, whilst keeping an eye on stock levels.

Occasionally, your local knowledge will help you to build rapport with guests wining and dining with us, helping you to create a lasting impression.

Quick to learn our new Menus and about Thainstone House, you'll be confident upselling dishes, wine and the hotel's amenities.

  • 100% service charge, up to approximately £2000 per year

Do you believe it's essential to exceed expectations?

Then we want to work with you!

Thainstone House has a rich history, dating back to the 18th century. Once a grand private home, it's now an elegant Aberdeenshire hotel where guests are welcomed with warmth and traditional Scottish hospitality.

Because the team at Thainstone House are on a mission: to create memories that last a lifetime. We're highly motivated, driven to succeed and focussed on making our guests' journey the best it can be. Of course, we also like to have a good time along the way.

Standing proudly in acres of its own woodland, Thainstone House is less than 10 minutes' drive from the small town of Inverurie. The locals are polite, humble people - the kind who appreciate the Scottish produce available in their independent shops, lovely restaurants and great bars.

Inverurie offers all the amenities of modern life, too. It's well connected, with direct trains running regularly to Aberdeen, taking just 25 minutes, as well as to Inverness. Aberdeen airport is only 20 minutes' drive away, with flights across the UK and to a handful of European destinations.

As a beautiful mansion house in such an ideal location, Thainstone House is a popular choice for weddings, as well as spa and leisure guests and business travellers. Working here is an opportunity to further your career as part of a successful, award-winning team.

Can we tempt you to join us?

Three reasons to choose a career with Crerar Hotels

  • Destination locations

Scotland provides a sought-after quality of life, ideal for outdoorsy types. Urbanites may find there are limitations, with reduced public transport, small local shops and occasionally - the ultimate modern hardship - patchy phone signal. But those who take that in their stride find that they discover true peace and quiet, wake up to incredible scenery and have Scotland's natural larder to feast on daily.

  • Talent development

We always aim to progress staff internally where possible, which means a number of our team have been with us long-term. They've chosen to make a life in one (or more!) of our locations, building themselves a varied career in the Scottish hospitality industry.

  • Shaped by our values

We share the spirit of Scotland through our values. We take pride in providing a truly authentic experience; we're warm in personality, curious to get to know our guests and confident in sharing our knowledge. We take what we do seriously, but our humour means we also see the lighter side. Above all, we're comfortable saying, "we are who we are!"
