We are currently working on behalf of out trusted client who are looking for a Collections Advisor. Join an FCA–authorised commercial debt collection agency, with a proven track record in delivering excellent results on behalf of clients, working closely with the clients of asset–based lenders and insolvency firms to optimise their credit control processes and more!
What You Can Expect
Work Type Permanent Salary GBP21k – GBP30k (DOE & Discretionary bonus) Location Southampton (Remote) first 2 weeks will be training on–site in Southampton. If you are within 1 hour commute of the office, you will be required to attend the office once per week. Main Responsibilities as a Collections Advisor
Take ownership and be responsible for a portfolio of live, current, and overdue debit balance customer accounts, making 50–80 calls per day. Obtain payment, resolve queries/disputes and, where appropriate, agree payment plans in a timely and satisfactory manner. Manage own workload and prioritise work to meet business targets and team KPIs. Liaise with clients and provide updates on customer accounts. Maintain quality and professionalism whilst accurately controlling ledgers. Through day–to–day activity, make recommendations to departmental processes to ensure that debtors and Bank customers are processed through the collections process as smoothly as possible. Perform against targets individually whilst contributing to the overall productivity of the team. Facilitate and record escalations and issues outside the standard processes to the Collections Manager
Experience & Skills Required
Previous experience within Debt Collections, Call Centre or Customer Service background Strong communication and ability to deal with difficult conversation around finances. High level of attention to detail Able to work under pressure and to set timescales. Willingness to learn and develop within the role/business.
