Commercial Account Handler - Insurance Brokerage

Portcullis Insurance Brokers Limited are a looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Account Handler
to join our small friendly team based in Maidstone town centre.
We are a well-established and respected Insurance Brokerage and due to ongoing growth we are looking
for an experienced individual to join our team.

About the Role:
The role has responsibility for generating revenue and developing the profitability of the business whilst
ensuring full FCA compliance in all aspects of Commercial & Personal insurance. Ensuring a quality service
is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements.

 To provide an efficient, high quality, day to day service to Account Managers and directly with commercial/private clients and insurers
 To deal with day-to-day general insurance queries from clients and insurers
 To Support Account managers
 Completing all relevant documentation in line with FSA guidelines.
 Provide a dedicated and professional service for clients.
Skills and Experience
 Focuses on quality, professional standards
 The ability to plan and prioritise workload
 Have high attention to detail
 To be an effective verbal and written communicator
 To be a self-motivator
 Working knowledge of insurer commercial insurance products in the composite, wholesale & Lloyds of London Markets
 Experience of working as an Account Handler in a similar broking environment
 Experience of working to high standards of FCA compliance
 Problem solving and analytical skills to identify the root cause and resolve obstacles
 Confident communicator
 Building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, & insurers
 I.T. skills including use of an insurance IT systems e.g. SSP, Acturis, Open GI and Microsoft products
 Organisational skills
Package
 Basic salary of £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
 28 days holiday & benefits
 Full time / 35 hours (9am – 5pm)
 Flexible working policy (after an induction period)
