Due tor retirement, our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Non-Motor SME Renewals Account Handler.
Cases range from Package business to SME in the main across a range of classes of business (all commercial). You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing exceptional service and tailored insurance solutions to meet their needs.
You should thereore posses a broad knowledge of commercial insurance classes and be comfortable dealing with a book of renewals which averages in the region of 30-40 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Understand clients' insurance requirements and recommend appropriate coverage options.
- Negotiate insurance terms and premiums with underwriters on behalf of clients.
- Prepare and present insurance proposals and renewal terms to clients.
- Process insurance policies, endorsements, and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
- Assist clients with claims management, liaising with insurers and loss adjusters as necessary.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and developments in insurance products and services.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Key Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the insurance industry, in commercial insurance.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, coverage options, and underwriting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience of working with online portals relevant to the insurance industry
Desirable:
- Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., CII).
- Knowledge of commercial insurance markets and regulatory requirements.
