An exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the music business operating as the Commercial Analyst providing valuable support to the Deal Strategy Manager in driving revenue growth across the Broadcast and Digital team, supporting across major licence negotiations, utilising complex data to develop a range of commercial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Work with members of the B&D team across licence negotiations - with a focus on the commercial modelling, to make sure the right data, business intelligence and financial analytics are available
• Update and maintain the central commercial models that support licence negotiations within the B&D team
• Work across the department's data requirements and tools, ensuring the tools are accurate and that all team members have access to data and tools required to support their roles and drive revenue growth.
• Stay abreast of key industry developments and external insights / data, making sure key information is consolidated and passed onto relevant team members as necessary.
• Proactive in negotiations & strategy projects to propose & deliver solutions.
• Think strategically and support the Deal Strategy Manager in developing the team's strategy and delivering key strategic projects.
Key Skills
• Experience working with, building & maintaining complex commercial models to support deal negotiations.
• Extensive Microsoft Excel experience and skills to include commercial experience working with large data sets
• Detail oriented and a proactive problem-solving attitude, with the ability to assimilate information from a variety of sources and condense into clear strategic options.
• A commercial mindset, able to prioritise effectively to best support the B&D team.
• An effective, persuasive, and articulate communicator, able to work confidently across multiple deals
• Knowledge of relevant industries ie UK Broadcast and Digital media landscape is an advantage
• Previous experience of the commercial negotiation process is highly desirable (direct or indirect).
