Commercial Assistant
We have an immediate need for an experienced Commercial Assistant to take on a new role at LBA, with a focus to manage the front desk function on a day-to-day basis, across both our Yorkshire Lounge & 1432 Runway Lounge, to welcome guests, check them into Lounges and deliver a high standard of customer service
Snapshot of the role:
This is a commercial role whereby the successful candidate will act as an ambassador of the airport and greet our guests into our prestigious lounges.
It will be your responsibility to competently manage the check-in process, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately. You will act as a ‘gatekeeper’ and control lounge capacity so that it is consistently operating at a high, but manageable, level. You will also be the key point of contact for all passenger issues/queries and requests, ensuring these are acted on promptly and communicated efficiently to the lounge operator.
As this is a commercial role, you will maximise lounge entries to pre-defined targets and minimise lounge ‘turn aways’ to ensure maximum lounge footfall within pre-defined capacity limits. You will also be responsible for upselling any products and services to meet KPIs and ensure maximum revenue opportunities.
This role will be the interface between Leeds Bradford Airport and the lounge operator and will continuously ensure that this relationship is working efficiently and effectively, through accurate cash management, daily reporting and relationship building.
What we are looking for:
First and foremost, we are looking for someone with strong commercial acumen, who has gained experience in a sales role, ideally within a hospitality environment.
You will understand the importance of stakeholder management in a target driven environment and will have some experience of working towards defined KPIs.
You will demonstrate the ability to work with a ‘One Team’ mentality and be a true ambassador of LBA. You will have the desire to ‘Be the Best’ and demonstrate excellent customer service skills and you will be driven to always ‘Do The Right Thing’ and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Salary: £12 per hour/£23,300 per annum (dependant on experience)
Working Hours: 5 on 2 Off rotational shift pattern, 37 hours per week
