Commercial Data Analyst

FMCG business require a Commercial Data Analyst. Applicants need exposure to an office environment (Accounts, Finance, HR, Purchasing, Sales), experience with MS Excel or large databases and be a good communicator. Straight graduates with degrees in mathematics, statistics, accounting, finance, data analytics or similar will also be considered.

Commercial Data Analyst will be responsible for analysing and presenting data in regards to; pricing, products, competitor, market trends and supplier data, in order to help influence and drive overall business strategies.

Specific duties of the Commercial Data Analyst include:

• Analyse and report on pricing, products, market trends, competitors and suppliers
• Responsible for maintaining pricing tool and implement change
• Create and maintain models to reflect customer terms for reporting to management
• Work with purchasing to maintain integrity of data within the system
• Provide support to Pricing for any pricing quotes/tenders
• Preparation of ad hoc reports and analysis as required

Commercial Data Analyst applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous relevant experience or a graduate in; mathematics, statistics, accounting, finance, data analytics or similar
• Experience of analysing, interrogating and manipulating data
• Strong MS Excel skills - intermediate-to-advanced
• Strong presentation skills - written / verbal
• Ability to handle large data sets
• knowledge of VBA and Macros - desirable, not essential
