SalaryWe are currently working in partnership with a leading tier one utility company. The position will involve working on established utility contracts. These include high volume, low value framework agreements and capital works projects with a turnover in excess of £80M per annum.
As Commercial Director you will be working with a strong operations team, providing vital support to the CEO. This role offers long term security within a growing business and a flexible hybrid working environment.

Key Essentials
* As Commercial Director you will be the commercial lead, with full responsibility for capital works and high volume, low value utility contracts under NEC3 with a turnover in excess of £80M per annum
* Ensuring that the correct contractual procedures are applied for all projects, maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures
* Change control processes and financial risk management
* Working closely with the senior operations team, identifying potential new areas of business whilst providing innovative solutions
* Reviewing project applications and forecasts on a regular basis with regard to monitoring actual performance against budget; providing updates and action plans
* Ensuring that commercial systems, budgets and cost control procedures are utilised
* Responsible for overseeing and supporting a team of circa. 25 commercial staff and administrators. Ensuring that that staffing levels are adequate for the workload, recruiting to the team when needed
Requirements
* Previous commercial experience operating at a senior level on utility high volume, low value works under for a tier one company with values in excess of £80M per annum is essential
* Excellent knowledge of NEC3 forms of contract
* Professionally qualified in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying
