Commercial Director Overview: Forsyth Barnes have partnered with a leader in the Sports product industry across UK & Europe. The business provide a segment of the Retail/ Leisure industry with a wide range of branded products and end to end distribution service for leading brands within Retail & Sports. The business sell these products on a wholesale basis and include hardware, accessories and bespoke / embellished products.
The client are searching for a Commercial Director. You will be heavily involved in the sales & commercial elements of the business including involvement product development, new product sourcing and elements of manufacturing. This will include sourcing products, understanding their market fit and keeping a strong eye on market opportunities with suppliers and customers, internationally.
Commercial Director Responsibilities:
- Driving commercial value, margin and revenue through sales and new products
- Supporting existing Managing director and management of existing sales team
- Sourcing new products, understanding their fit in the market and commercial opportunities / margin available from integrating these into existing product line
- Meeting with supplier, customers and further building and driving commercial revenue.
Commercial Director Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior leadership commercial / sales position
- Industry experience: Retail, FMCG, Consumer Goods, Physical products or Sports
- Leadership: Previous experience leading diverse teams – including sales / commercial
- Suppliers: experience working with suppliers or product teams
