Altum Consulting are pleased to working exclusively with a prestigious property developer based in London to secure a Commercial Finance Analyst. The Commercial Finance Analyst will support the business partnering around acquisitions, development and operation, delivering underwriting of new investment opportunities, financial control of ongoing development projects and continuous improvement of the performance of operational assets.
Key Responsibilities,
- New business: Support the appraisal of new investment opportunities working with the acquisitions and development teams on underwriting assumptions and business plan, including input into Investment Committee papers.
- Projects under construction: To the monitoring and control of expenditure on secured development projects and joint venture project board reporting. Continuous improvement of the design and implementation of processes to further improve the financial control of secured projects under development and on-boarding
- Financial Management: Support the preparation and submission of financial information for investment projects under construction including annual budgets, monthly reporting of actual and forecast variances to budget. Working closely with colleagues across the finance function to effectively communicate the status and forecast performance of investment projects under development for inclusion in Group Financial Planning and Analysis.
Required Experience,
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong academic credentials.
- Typical experience level - 0-2 years post qualification (i.e. 3+ years total experience)
- Strong analytical skills and mind-set.
- Excellent communicator, oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Team player with a strong work ethic, must be self-motivated, industrious and work well under pressure.
- Evidence of people management experience.
- First class interpersonal skills and level-headed approach.
- Confident and able to use own initiative.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
