Commercial Finance Analyst - Retail Sales , London, Hybrid 12 month Fixed Term Contract - £50,000 - £55,000
I am working exclusively with a privately owned, high-growth retail brand who are looking for a commercially astute retail analyst to join their Finance function on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager and partnering closely with the Finance Director, this role will provide value add through analysis of data and providing insight to support with strategic planning. This role is crucial to the Commercial Finance team and will need someone who is credible and confident in communicating and extremely analytical.
This Finance Analyst opportunity is focused on profitability, monthly KPI's, pricing strategies and forecasting on trends. You will be responsible for providing guidance and analysis to senior level internal stakeholders and external bodies on company sales.
The Role:
* Owning production and publication of the monthly business KPI pack.
* Working with senior business leads to recommend selling price strategies; modelling the impact of price changes, and tracking post-implementation outcomes.
* Compiling the global Profitability by channel, territory and different product
* Manage the forward view of sales for the strategy plan and the forecast based on an in-depth analysis of customer behaviour and trends
* Monitoring levels of spend for new and existing customers, analysing their behaviour and trends to drive the future growth of the business, in line with the strategy plan.
* Business partnering with Buying and Merchandising departments to ensure product cost prices are accurate and competitive
About you:
* Proven experience of analysing and summarising complex financial and commercial information, and communicating this confidential with others
* Knowledge and previous experience of working with a multi-sited, retail or complex consumer focused environment
* Keen attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills.
* Highly numerate, with proven commercial experience and understanding
* Advanced knowledge of manipulating complex data and articulating key points simply, using Excel and other appropriate applications.
* At least two years' experience of working in a similar or relevant business/role.
This role would suit an exceptional commercial accountant, or someone who has been doing a similar type of role data driven position.
