Description
- Oversee the financial operations of the company in the retail sector.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
- Manage company finances and prepare financial reports.
- Control and evaluate the organisation's fundraising plans and capital structure.
- Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies.
- Supervise financial assistants and other employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations.
- Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk to the company.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of company financial procedures and related legal and regulatory information.
Profile
A successful 'Finance Manager' should have:
- A accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar).
- Proven exposure in a Commercial Finance Environment.
- Proficient user of finance software.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
