We are looking for a Commercial Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join our International Freight Forwarding team. Working as part of the wider Ocean Freight Forwarding commercial Team, the role is a hybrid position, located in in Milton Keynes (MK7 8BN) with an opportunity to work remotely for 3 days per week.
The successful candidate will support the Commercial Team Leader & Commercial Manager in all aspects of commercial activities and contribute to the growth and development of the wider International Freight Forwarding (IFF) department. Essential responsibilities include developing pricing strategies, seeking feedback and necessitate strong communication skills, a sales mindset and a confident grasp of numerical concepts. Familiarity with transactional terminology is imperative for the role.
The position will offer an annual salary of between £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing daily workload of quotations received from clients, UK Sales and/or Yusen Network, in line with department Key Performance Indicators
- Preparation and presentation of quotations for Clients and following up for feedback
- Preparing and delivering of Commercial information to other departments as required
- Engage and liaise with local Shipping Lines and/or Haulier contacts to obtain and negotiate day to day pricing as required
- Attend and contribute to local commercial meetings as required
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Team Leader and/or Commercial Manager as may be required in line with the department and/or company strategies or needs.
Key Skills:
- Experience in Freight Forwarding/Ocean Freight operations is essential
- Confident in the use of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and knowledge of Power BI
- Able to prioritise workload and work on multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent Attention to detail
- Strong numerical skills – understanding of financial (profit & loss)
- Confident and professional communicator, verbal & written
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Proactive & flexible approach
