Commercial Insurance Claims Handler

An opportunity to join a leading global insurer in their UK operation. This role will focus on UK commercial liability claims from EL/PL, property and motor.

Though a UK wide network of brokers they underwrite a diverse range of Commercial Insurance products in the SME market.

Commercial Liability Claims Handler

Overview

• To handle and process claims pertaining to risks underwritten by the company.
• To oversee the handling of claims by third-party service providers to time and quality standards.
• To monitor the proper recording of all claims.
• Arranging "expert" investigation and following up investigators/loss adjusters/professional reports.
• Ensure the creation of correct entries and the resolution of accounts queries.
• Prepare and send large claim advices for information to reinsurers and London office
• Monitoring of outstanding claims and their incurred movements.
• Assist with the resolution of complaints.
• Production of regular and ad hoc reports on claims issues as required.
• Assist in Claims review on periodic basis.
• Assist Claims Manager with any other claim related tasks.
• Reviewing motor claims underwritten by MGAs.

What you need to show

• Solid technical experience of UK liability claims handling (Commercial property, Employers Liability, Public Liability and Motor).
• Organisational ability
• IT, including Spreadsheet skills.
• Communication skills / Analytical ability.
• Liaison with colleagues to maximise input and contribution.

What you need to know

• Hybrid working currently in place - min.of 3 days per week in the Ipswich office. IP1
• Salary circa £35,000 depending on skills set & expertise.
• Hours: 9.00 - 5.00 Monday to Friday
