Commercial Management Accountant

Rotheram Carrington Recruitment Group are working with a key Client based on the outskirts of Chester with easy to commute links from the Wirral, M56, A55 and M53.

This is a great opportunity for a progressive accountant looking to expand your commercial finance experience in many different areas of a large fast moving organisation. If you are a confident communicator and enjoy working with key stakeholders at all levels, plus a wizz on Excel creating dynamic reports, this could be the role for you.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager you will be responsible for supporting and building relationships with key stakeholders across a specific business unit to help drive business performance.

Other key duties will include:

• Maintaining financial control at all times
• Ensure that reporting provided to the business unit team is timely & accurate
• Produce value-added analysis to support continued growth across the organisation

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring that sales margin analysis reports are complete, accurate and compliant.
• Work closely with Commercial Finance colleagues to ensure income delivery is compliant.
• Provide timely reporting to the unit which gives a clear view of sales and margin performance.
• Provide analysis related to margin drivers such as promotion performance.
• Working with stakeholders to help ensure that sales and margin forecasts are robust.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes

Skills/Experience:

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA part or fully qualified
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to work well with non-finance stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills essential.
• Power BI or SQL experience advantageous.
• Experience within a Commercial Finance environment would be advantageous
