Commercial Manager

We are currently in the process of hiring a Commercial Manager to manage and oversee estimating costs, material quantities, and project timelines; on behalf of one of our longest-tenured clients. The role is located on a large-scale construction project based in Northwest London. This is a permanent role and has a salary of up to £75,000 including a package of up to £7,000.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all regulations are being met by all sub/contractors, working teams on various strategies to ensure project delivery on time and within budget, tendering and negotiating with subcontractors, and providing weekly/monthly reports directly to the Commercial Director.
As a Commercial Manager, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, analysing, and producing project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour, and time.
• Perform risk and value assessments, and cost control during construction.
• Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Negotiate contracts and work schedules for all subcontractors.
• Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
• Managing multiple projects including project budget, ensuring value for money.
• Create, analyse, and provide weekly/monthly detailed progress reports in direct liaison with the Commercial Director.
• Managing commercial, planning, and design teams on various strategies to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.

Essential Criteria:

• Live within a commutable distance of Northwest London.
• Must have 5+ years of Quantity Surveying Experience.
• Effective analytical thinking skills.
• Strong experience and understanding of engineering science and technology.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Be able to start within the next 3 weeks.

The role has a base salary of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. The available package also includes a car allowance of up to £7,000, travel fares covered, a pension, and a health care scheme.
