Commercial Marketing Manager
The Commercial Marketing Manager will grow audiences and income across Premier’s commercial brands and find compelling ways to communicate opportunities to advertise with Premier. You will lead a team of two focused on retention and acquisition respectively for our Print & Digital Magazine brands and create innovative marketing campaigns to promote Premier Jobsearch, Holiday Guide, Christian Marketplace and advertising opportunities with Premier. Working closely with the Commercial team, you will ensure Premier reaches key income targets.
KEY TASKS
- Oversee subscription acquisition and retention strategies for Print & Digital products.
- Responsible for the income target and overall growth of Premier’s Print and Digital Magazine subscriptions, working closely with the Subscription Retention Lead and Subscription Acquisition Lead, who you will line manage.
- Work with internal stakeholders to produce management information and key analysis to drive forward subscription revenue.
- Lead marketing campaigns to grow Premier’s client base seeking to advertise across Premier’s inventory.
- Creation of sales marketing materials, including ownership of www.growwithpremier.com.
- Deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns to grow audiences for Premier Jobsearch, Holiday Guide, NexGen and Marketplace.
- Create retention strategies for Premier Jobsearch, Marketplace, NexGen and Holiday Guide to ensure all parties that engage receive value.
- Review key metrics for retention, build on what works and try new approaches for improvement.
- Establish strong in-bound marketing journeys across Premier’s Commercial branded websites.
- Draft compelling copy and communicate brand propositions in a way that reflects the value of the brand and inspires people to engage.
- Liaise with external agencies and consultants to support campaigns where needed.
- Create offer strategies, checkout processes that optimize the user’s experience and increases revenue in collaboration with the Commercial Team.
- Work to achieve key targets for audience growth and brand income and repeat sales.
- Analyse all campaign performance against goals and objectives and provide campaign results to stakeholders.
- Promote commercial brands across Premier’s media channels including radio, digital, email, podcasts, print ads.
- Monitor the key metrics for the commercial funnel and use data to inform decisions on how to increase sales for that brand.
- Deploy feedback surveys and research programs to gain the insight you need to increase product value and sell products and services to new audiences.
- Ensure all communication and messaging is compatible with Branding Guidelines and framework.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent expertise gained through experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Commercial Marketing role, ideally within the media sector.
- Proven ability to devise and implement effective acquisition strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Strong copywriting skills and proficiency in creating engaging inbound marketing journeys.
- Experience in analysing campaign performance, monitoring key metrics, and making data-driven decisions
- Track record of creating successful customer retention strategies.
- Familiarity with branding guidelines and frameworks.
- Understanding of Christian audiences and market.
ABILITIES & SKILLS
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to communicate brand propositions effectively to different audiences.
- Analytical skills to assess campaign performance, monitor key metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
- Able to prioritise and focus energy and actions on what activity will have the biggest impact.
- Strong creative skills to conceptualise innovative marketing campaigns.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
