Commercial Underwriter

Hybrid from Leeds office (1-2 days per week in the office)

Salary: GBP40,000 to GBP50,000 p.a. + bonus + benefits

Experienced Commercial Underwriter required for highly successful insurance group. You will be underwriting profitable renewals and new business with a mixed commercial property portfolio, on a day-to-day basis and assisting brokers with the smooth running of existing policies.
Duties:-

• Pro-actively managing renewals & new business quotes for a property/real estate book.
• Underwriting residential and commercial property/real estate risks within guidelines.
• Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Ensuring all documentations and systems are kept up to date and provided to supporting brokers in a timely manner.
• Actively engaging with brokers to ensure the company is their first port of call on new business enquiries.
• Ensuring SLA s are met and timely issuance of documentation.

Open to this person working full remotely or based Hybrid in one of their many offices in the UK.

Full funding available for any relevant professional qualifications taken and ongoing personal development.

Requirements:-

• You will have 3 years experience successfully commercial underwriting experience.
• A varied skill set that includes strong communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, analytical and IT skills.
• Previous experience within an MGA or commercial insurance underwriting role desirable but not essential.
