As a Commis Chef, you'll work alongside our experienced chefs to prepare and produce food in our pub kitchen. No prior extensive kitchen experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn, and we'll provide the rest!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of food following standardised recipes and quality standards
- Ensure adherence to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold a hygienic kitchen environment
- Collaborate closely with fellow kitchen staff to maintain seamless operations
- Aid in managing inventory by receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies as needed
- Keep the kitchen area tidy and well-organized
- Contribute to maintaining the high standards of food presentation and taste
Skills:
- While previous experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant is a plus, it's not mandatory
- Basic familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Fundamental knowledge of food safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with team members

Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
