Position 1 Recruitment is proud to represent our client, a leading machinery and solutions provider for the global food processing industry based in Suffolk. With ongoing growth, they are seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers to join their dynamic engineering team.
Commissioning Engineer - Key Responsibilities:
- Commissioning, inspection, & maintenance of industrial equipment within the food processing industry.
- Investigation and resolution of electrical/mechanical faults on customer sites.
- Providing customer support via telephone, email, and site visits.
- Maintaining customer and supplier relationships.
- Preparation of documentation including risk assessments, specifications, and site report sheets.
- Identifying new opportunities for system design and process improvements.
- Machine optimisation, data logging, and troubleshooting.
- Delivering comprehensive customer training programs.
- Frequent travel within the UK and overseas.
Commissioning Engineer will have the following:
- Recognised apprenticeship/qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Previous experience in the food industry preferred.
- Multi-skilled Commissioning engineer (electrical bias) with a valid UK driving license and passport for international travel.
- Experience from a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, maintenance, FMCG, electronics, and electro-mechanical sectors.
- High standards and a commitment to quality with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
- Strong communication skills.
This is a permanent full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with travel required to various locations including international destinations. Our client is also offering excellent benefits as follow:
