Commissioning Manager

Your new role
You will be joining this organisation based in the West Midlands as a Commissioning Manager for their Adult Social Care division. You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of allocated commissioning projects, including taking the lead on contract management and building relationships with care providers active in the local area to secure capacity to meet demand.
Duties will include:
1. Applying commissioning knowledge and skills across the life cycle as required, taking a lead responsibility for the contract management of services commissioned.
2. Monitor and oversee contract compliance, ensuring service quality, delivery of specified outcomes and value for money.
3. Build relationships with all providers in the area, irrespective of their contractual relationship with the organisation, to influence the range, nature and suitability of provision to meet changing local demand.
4. Produce and contribute to commissioning reports as required, including commentary on contract compliance, performance, sufficiency and opportunities in the social care market.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to have previous experience of commissioning and/or contract management in social care or a related sector. You will also be required to demonstrate knowledge of the adult social care sector and experience of working with contracts to secure compliance, high standard and best value.
What you'll get in return
This role is a temporary role, initially 3 months with the potential to extend. You will get paid on a weekly basis at a negotiable rate. This role is starting as soon as possible, based in the West Midlands.
