About Directorate
Adult Social Care is committed to the work and difference we make to residents of Barnet every single day, month and year. Adults Social Care & Health comprises of people with a range of professional specialisms and expertise, including social workers; occupational therapists; contract brokers; staff delivering statutory services; financial and performance analysts.
About the role
Working as part of the Commissioning team, the Commissioning Officer will support the delivery of commissioning projects to implement commissioning strategies and specific plans to the Council's objectives for adult social care, to improve the lives of residents in Barnet. The Commissioning Officer will support the implementation of all aspects of the commissioning cycle, maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, including other Council departments, providers, residents, carers, the voluntary sector and the NHS.
About you
- Demonstrable experience working in a commissioning environment
- An understanding of and a commitment to achieving quality health, social care, and wellbeing outcomes for adults in Barnet.
- An ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs and priorities
- An ability to work flexibly across a range of simultaneous initiatives and as part of a larger team
