SalaryWe are actively seeking a Commodity Broker on behalf of a small international physical agricultural commodity broking company situated in Farnham, Surrey. Our client acts more as an introducing broker than an interdealer broker. This role is ideal for a confident outgoing individual who has a fine attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in an environment which can be pressurized and seeks a considerable amount of responsibility from an early stage. The opportunity will suit a self motivated individual who can communicate up to board level complex ideas verbally and in writing to those clients who's first language may not be English. This is an excellent international client facing role, it will therefore be necessary on some occasions to travel at short notice or work the hours that are required by their international clients and change with market activity. You will work directly with the Senior Brokers and in return will receive support and development from the Management Team.
9am - 18:00hrs Monday - Friday Parking Provided
During your first year you will gain an initial understanding of the business and build the foundation of your knowledge, covering:

Ø Contract terms, trade and shipping terms and documentation.
Ø Understanding of the commodity, origins, markets and trade flows.
Ø Negotiation
Ø Contract execution, Operations
Ø Dispute resolution
· Shadow brokers and their interaction with clients.
· Start broking under the supervision of senior brokers.
· Collate, analyse and report information to assist with the business.
· Developing new leads and initiate contact with new clients.
· Perform analysis on market sectors for management.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree (not required but other experience instead)
· Strong IT knowledge
· Required: GCSE's in English language and Mathematics
Useful knowledge :- International Current Affairs and Regional Geography
An understanding of Economics.
Languages advantageous : Mandarin, Spanish, French, Arabic.
