SalaryWe are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate staff members who possess British Sign Language (BSL) skills to join our team. Due to the clients’ needs, the successful candidates must be fluent in British Sign Language and must be an active member in the deaf community.
This service provides residential care for young adults between the ages of 16+ who are either profoundly deaf, have significant hearing loss and/or complex needs and this service is based in Basildon, Essex.
You must also have experience dealing with LDA individuals, challenging & mental health behaviours in a similar environment and be a calming influence.
Our clients require round the clock care, so there are a variety of shifts are available which include days, nights and weekends.
- Be compassionate and professional
- An active member in the deaf community (preferable)
- Fluent in BSL
- Be dedicated and flexible
- Be a driver with access to your own vehicle (preferred)
- Have experience working in a similar role
