Communications Manager (0791)

ClientEarth’s teams across the world use the law to create powerful change and a future where people and planet thrive together. Communications plays a key role in this work. We use a strategic approach to communications to influence decision-making and drive behaviour change.  

This role will create and execute hard-hitting, strategic communications interventions to enhance the impact of some of our highest profile and most innovative legal work. It will combine a global outlook on our work with specific knowledge and expertise on the key audiences we need to reach in Brussels. 

The Communications Managerrole sits in ourCommunications team of 17 people spread across our international offices. This role will planand implement outcome-focused communications that help deliver our organisational and impact objectives.  

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Donald Campbell, Global Head of Communications at ClientEarth. Donald has worked in communications for 18 years, with previous experience in senior roles at human rights and humanitarian organisations, as well as in politics, the private sector and journalism

Main Duties

• Delivery - Create/overseehigh-impact communications that help to engage and influence key stakeholders and target audiences.  
• Strategy - Develop innovative communications work to support the strategic objectives of our priority programmatic work, also providing specific expertise and leadership when we are aiming to target key audiences based in Brussels  
• Relationship management  - Represent ClientEarth in relevant national and international coalitions
• Line management - Line managea Senior Communications Officer inBrussels on a day-to-day basis

Role requirements

• Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
• Experience of devising and implementing high-profile, fast-paced communications work
• Experience of contributing to,creating and implementing cross-platform communications strategies, ensuring coordinated, coherent messaging through all channels that aim to shift corporate or government policy
